5. MILLIE BOBBY BROWN ONCE APPEARED ON SET COVERED FROM HEAD TO TOE IN GLITTER
Working with children and young teenagers is never easy but according to the Duffer Brothers, they are full of surprises. Take the actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, for example.
She’s still only a child but when she thinks she could have done better in a scene she demands another take and then blows people away with her amazing performance.
However, despite her maturity on some levels, the Duffer Brothers recall how one time Brown appeared on set covered from head to toe in glitter, which delayed filming by almost an hour. Glitter is apparently incredibly hard to take off and to top things off, Brown insisted she didn’t know where the glitter came from.

4. THE DEMAGORGON IS ACTUALLY A MAN NAMED MARK STEGER
Few Stranger Things fans know that the terrifying humanoid creature known as the Demogorgon is half human and half CGI. Initially, the producers wanted the Demogorgon to be played by a human 90% of the time. However, since the monster is humanoid it couldn’t just move with human mechanics all the time, hence the need for more CGI effects.
But who was it that played the Demogorgon? It turns out that it was an actor named Mark Steger who had the Demogorgon suit designed specifically for him and his body.
Initially the suit was enough to transform Steger into the terrifying monster but as the series progressed eight-inch stilts and claws were added and the head was filled with 26 motors that helped control Demogorgon’s head movements.

3. THE DUFFER BROTHERS HAD TO ASK THE YOUNG ACTORS TO STOP SLAPPING EACH OTHER BEFORE TAKES
We’ve already mentioned that working with kids and young teenagers is not easy. While adult actors know that shooting is just like any other job that needs to be taken just as seriously, kids like to mess around.
The Duffer Brothers were annoyed when Millie Bobby Brown appeared on set covered head to toe in glitter, as well as when one of the kids farted in the abandoned bus making it impossible to continue shooting the scene.
But the real challenge came when the kids wouldn’t stop hitting each other. Apparently, the Duffer Brothers had to, according to Indie Wire, demand that the kids “stop slapping each other before the take. It makes their faces red.”

2. JOE KEERY WAS INJURED ON SET TWICE
Accidents on set are unavoidable, and the actor Joe Keery, who plays the role of Steve, learned this the hard way. Indeed, Keery injured himself on set not once, but twice.
The first time the unlucky actor injured his back when he was shooting the remarkable scene in which he was fighting the demodogs in the junkyard.
The second time, Keery was injured during a scene where he was fighting with Steve and Billy. In the scene, Keery has a plate smashed over his head but unfortunately, it hit him in the wrong spot and ended up seriously hurting Keery. So, Keery’s reaction you see in that scene? It is totally genuine!

1. MILLIE BOBBY BROWN ONLY SHAVED HER HEAD WHEN SHE WAS COMPARED TO CHARLIZE THERON FROM MAD MAX
Back in season 1 the actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the often silent Eleven, sported a bald head. However, initially Brown had no idea she would have to shave her head for the role.
It wasn’t until the very final audition that the Duffer Brothers told her that Eleven is bald. According to Indie Wire, Brown said –
“So I’m standing in the room with them, and Ross Duffer comes over to me and is just like, ‘Bzzzzzzzz’ on my head, and I’m like, ‘What’s that mean?' And Ross said, ‘Well, you’ve got to shave your head!'”
At first, Brown was okay with shaving her head even though her mum kept pleading her not to do it. However, when it was time to actually go through with it Brown grew nervous.
Thankfully, the Duffer Brothers supported her by reminding her of Charlize Theron who did the exact same thing for Mad Max.
