When you are in your 20’s, you work to pay for your late nights out at the bar and the club. Fun is much more important to a 20 something than work. When you are in your 30’s, suddenly, your priorities change.
After you hit 30, the bar scene and the club scene isn’t as important as it used to be. Suddenly, getting ahead at work is more important than going out and having fun.



2. Your Job Goals Have Changed
When you are in your 20’s, the most important thing about having a job is having one that is fun. You don’t want to be part of corporate America. You would rather do something that you love and that you believe in, even if you aren’t making a huge amount of money. When you are in your 30’s, things change. Suddenly, you want to be part of corporate America. You are willing to change your views on your job if it means that you can move up in the business, make more money, and start preparing for your future. Most people in their 30’s don’t even recognize their professional selves when they were in their 20’s.
3. Being Able To Achieve Results With Minimum Effort vs Trying Hard To Get To the Next Level
When you are in your 20’s, you can put very little effort in and be satisfied with minimal achievement. When you are in your 30’s, you are willing to try extra hard to reach the next level. For example, when you workout in your 20’s, you are willing to do the bare minimum to look good. When you are in your 30’s, you start working out hard to get yourself back into shape.
4. Thinking That You Will Always Be Happier Somewhere Else Will Change
When you are in your 20’s, you think that there will always be more fun anywhere than where you happen to be at the moment. When you take a vacation, you take it to a tropical island and you spend all of your money. When you are in your 30’s, you realize that running all over the place looking for fun is a waste of time. Real happiness lies within. When it comes time to take a vacation in your 30’s, you are more likely to enjoy yourself at home while saving money and relaxing.


5. Worrying That You Will Get Pregnant vs Worrying That You Won’t
Most women in their 20’s aren’t ready for children yet. Your 20’s is a time to be carefree, without a kid tying you down. Also, you want to have a great career before you even start thinking about having a family. In your 20’s, you pray that you aren’t pregnant. When you are in your 30’s, you are ready to have kids. Suddenly, settling down and having a family is your main goal. It is at this point in your life that you fear more that you cannot get pregnant rather than worrying that you are.
6. Your Views On Dating Change
When you are in your 20’s, dating is fun. You get to meet new people all the time and do different things. In your 20’s, being tied down is the last thing that you want. When you are in your 30’s, your views on dating start to change. Suddenly, you no longer want to play the field and date different people. In your 30’s, finding the right person becomes your biggest priority.
7. Your Feelings About Your Parents Change
When you are in your 20’s, you have all of the answers and your parents are always wrong. Your main goal in life is to keep from turning out like your parents. When you are in your 30’s, you finally see that your parents were right about more than you thought and that you didn’t have all of the answers. Suddenly, it is your main goal in life to be more like your parents.
8. Your Views On Your Health Changes
When you are in your 20’s, you think that you are invincible You believe that you are too young and too strong to ever get sick or hurt. When you are in your 30’s, the irresponsible behavior of your 20’s starts catching up with you. Suddenly, you are getting hangovers when you stay up all night drinking and you are getting indigestion when you eat spicy foods. In your 30’s, you realize that you really aren’t invincible.


9. Your Views On Birthdays Change
This is one of the facts of life in your 20s Vs 30s that is the hardest to accept. When you are 20 years old, you cannot wait to be 21 and you can legally drink. You also cannot wait to be out on your own. When you are about to turn 30, you realize that becoming an adult isn’t as great as you thought that it would be.
